Afton- The Palmer Hotel
The Palmer Hotel opened 1911 and was the best address in Afton.
1940, a small extension was built, in which the cafe was housed. Today Hotel and Cafe are closed.

Afton – Rest Haven Motel
Afton, Oklahoma, is famous for the “Rest Haven Motel sign”, which can be found at the end of the small town. Afton has existed since 1886 and was named after the daughter of a Scottish railway surveyor, after the name of a river in Scotland. The motel has been closed for years

Afton – Avon Motel
There is not much left from the Avon Motel from 1930 . There are only ruins and the rusted sign. To find the motel is just outside of Afton, OK.

Chelsea – Chelsea Motel
At the boom times of Route 66 Chelsea was a city that was right on the busy street. Chelsea was also very conveniently located on the railway line, there was a town center and a few hotels. What is left is not much from the Chelsea Motel, it rots every day a little more.

Stroud – Skyliner Motel
The hotel with the neon sign was opened around 1950 and is still in operation today. The owner has recently changed. The hotel is in now possession of an Indian family. The rooms are small and shabby. But it has certainly Route 66 charm.

Chandler, OK - Lincoln Motel

Chandler – Lincoln Motel
1939, the hotel opened and has since never closed. So to speak, a rimary rock at the Route 66. In Summer 2013, the hotel was, however, because of a dead body was discovery in the headlines.

Clinton, Ok - Glancy Motel

Clinton – Glancy Motel
The hotel, is still in operation. The doors are all orange and decorate all a withe Route 66 signs. The pool behind the house is without water for years.

Canute – Cotton Boll Motel
Only the sign is left from this ols motel. The house, what was once a motel, now a private residence.

Clinton – Trade Winds Inn Motel
The famous about the little chain motel is that Elvis Presley has stayed there several times in the 1960s, in which opened the hotel. Guest pilgrimage only reason to Clinton, OK. Elvis did not like that and he came never again.

Elk City, OK – Casa Grande Hotel
The Casa Grande Hotel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. In 1931 one of the first meeting of the U.S. Highway 66 Association took place.

In front of to Western Motel is a beautiful neon advertising sign. The hotel has probably already open, but it has certainly seen better days.

Erick, OK - West Wind Motel

Erick – West Wind Motel
The Old West Winds Motel, built in 1948, is unfortunately no longer open for travelers on Route 66. The former hotel is a private home today. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
