The Gateway Arch is a part of the Jefferson National Expansion Memoria. The Gateway Arch is a 630-foot-high (192 Meter) monument in St. Louis. The Arch stands as the iconic monument symbolizing the westward expansion of the United States.

Fanning – World’s Largest Rocking Chair
The World’s Largest Rocking Chair was built in 2008. It was designed by John R. Bland and fabricated by Joe Medwick. The rocker stands 42’ 1” tall and 20’ 3” wide. It is a part of the Fanning Outpost.

Fanning – 66 Outpost
Fanning 66 Outpost is located on Historic Route 66, just four miles west of Cuba, Missouri. Next to the Outpost there stands the Rcking Chair.

The Mule Trading Post is located on the east side of Rolla, and features both Route 66 souvenirs and legitimate antiques. Carl und Zelma Smith are the owners of the shop.

This can not be overlooked Candy Shop has everything on sweets, what your heart desires. There is also Route 66 souvenirs to buy and you can soak up cheap. Next door is the “World’s Largest Gift Store”

Springfield – Gillioz Theatre
The restoration of the Gillioz Theatre was completed in October 2006. That was 80 years after the first opening. The lobby and the auditorium were restored as original as possible. In the 20 years, the Gillioz was the number 1 address for entertainment and vaudeville shows.

Whitehall Mercantile

Halltown – Whitehall Mercantile
Whitehall Mercantile occupies a two-story building in Halltown, Missouri on historic Route 66 – “Mainstreet USA.” Built in 1900, this building housed a general store and the post office on the ground floor.
From 1985 to 2005 Thelma White owned the business. In 2007 she suffered a stroke and could no longer since the business lead. Thelma M. White died on April 13, 2010. Jerry took over the operationof the store with the help of one part-time worker, Dixie Dameron.

Maxville – Red Oak II
Lowell Davis, who returned in the 1970s in his village of Red Oak, he found nothing there as abandoned houses. The residents had migrated to the cities. Lowell Davis was so sad that he decided to build in 1978 Red Oak II, he brought some of the old buildings from Red Oak to the new space in Red Oak II and restored it there. In Red Oak II there is everything a city needs, from City Hall to the Post Office and of course a church.
By and by even a few people moved to Red Oak II and revive the small town thus. Lowell Davis lives today, in 2013, still in Red Oak II

66 Drive-In Theatre
The drive-in theater in Carthage is one of the few Route 66 drive-in theaters, which is still preserved. In the season-run movies are shown here as in ancient times.

Webb City – Praying Hands
A statue of the artist Jack Dawson. Built in 1974, the Praying Hands of the city Webb City were dedicated to their centenary in 1976.

Webb City – Route 66 Theater
The cinema is not directly on Route 66, but not far from the road in the old part of the city. The cinema was once a hotel and had around 100 hotel rooms.
