John Steinbeck (1902-1968)
John Steinbeck is a well known author and journalist. He wrote, among other things, the book “Grapes of Wrath” (The Grapes of Wrath). It’s about the fate of the farmers who had to leave their home in the drought years of the big “Dustbowl” and fought over by the Route 66 to California. To write an authentic novel, Steinbeck accompanied the trek for some time.

Dan Rice
Dan is an author and the president of the “Santa Monica Pier dealer”, the “66-to-Cali Inc.” He got the “Will Rogers 2010 New Business of the Year Award” handed out. In addition, Dan is since 2010 the Vice President of “California Route 66 Associaton”.

Pete Morris (1951-heute)
Pete is an artist and paints watercolors, among other things, of Route 66, he lives in Temple City, CA.

Phil Yeh
he was born in Chicago 1954. In the eraly 60’s he came to Los Angeles, where he began hins own publishing campany.
Phil is a great cartoonist. He has painted many mural in San Bernadino, CA.
