The Westerner Drive Inn opened in 1949. It went out of business around 2000. An abandoned Sign and building are left behind.

Established in 1956 Del’s Restaurant is a comfortable, family restaurant. Guests can expecta pleasant atmosphere and a unique, attractive décor. Del’s has a well-rounded menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday, 11AM to 9 PM.

Santa Rosa – Joseph’s Bar and Grill
The restaurant was opened in 1956 by Jose Campos under the name “La Fiesta” and in 1985 bequeathed to his son Joseph. Joseph an his wife Christina continued it under the name “Joseph’s Bar and Grill”. This restaurant it one of the few companies that survived the opening of the Interstate.

Unfortunately, this restaurant in Santa Rosa was forced to close in May 2012. It is located on the corner of Route 66 and 4th Street. It is part of the historic Downtown.

The Dog House is a tiny diner on Route 66 in Albuquerque, that’s been serving up burgers, chili cheese tater tots, hot coffee and their signature foot-long hot dogs for at least 60 years. The food is fast and cheap, and you know you’re in New Mexico when the chili comes with a choice of “green or red.”
