1951, the open-air cinema was opened, since it is still in operation, at least in the season. From April to October every evening movies are shown . In front of the open-air cinema Route 66 signs is painted on the road.

Edwardsville - Wildey Theater

Edwardsville – Wildey Theater
Opened in 1909 as an opera house, it was also used as a meeting hall. The cinema is located in downtown Edwardsville on Main Street. 1984 closed the Wildey as full-time cinema, after more than 400 people saw the film “The Big Chill”. The “Edwardsville Historic Preservation Commission” took the Wildey Theatre in 1986 as a “sight” on.
