The Heart of the Illinois Amish Country is Arthur. In the small town of about 2200 people. Around Arthur live about 1000 Amish families on large farms.
1865 settled there a handful of Amish families, now counts the number of the Amish community around 4500 people.
In the area you can see the drive carriages and there the country work is drawn with simple, by horses or cows, carts done.
The Amish sell their agricultural products in small shops as well as woodwork and furniture.
